The last day of #KEEN2013 was extremely successful and ended the conference on a high note. The day seemed to have a reoccurring theme centered around the start-up spirit. Beginning with Ellen Petry Leanse's talk on 10 Secrets from Silicon Valley, to the ending keynote by Mark Montgomery, founder of Flo Thinkery.
We also checked out another Nashville eatery, Pancake Pantry (recommended to us by the guys from ManBQue). The pancakes were just as delicious as we thought, and exposed us to a different part of Nashville near Vanderbilt University.
At the end of the day, attendees & speakers from KEEN enjoyed some live music and good food at the Omni's Barlines. However, the only thing on everyone's minds was the closing remarks made by Mark Montgomery. Inspirational does not even begin to cover the advice he was giving to entrepreneurs and start-ups alike. Here are some of the key takeaways from Mark's Closing Address:
"Ideas are easy, execution is everything, it takes a team to win."- Mark Montgomery
"Great ideas are only hobbies unless you do something with them."- Mark Montgomery
"Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing"- Hellen Keller
Thank you to KEEN for having us and allowing us to learn, grow and meet new people!
