SEO Specialist

Role

We’re seeking a SEO Specialist who understands the digital landscape and has a passion for digital marketing and delivering search solutions for our clients.

This individual will be able to maintain client relationships by communicating and educating applied SEO insights internally and externally. They are capable of understanding an evolving landscape, while adhering to the industry’s best practices.

We have a diverse background and a range of clients but come from a foundation of integrated strategy for each. We are looking for someone to implement search that also appreciates and can speak to an integrated approach to marketing.

Responsibilities

Optimization

  • Scales scope of work for Search approaches based off of size of client’s business model and budgets
  • Performs all levels of search optimization – detailed technical analysis through high-end content optimization.
  • Works with Developers (client and 3rd party) to execute implementation recommendations.
  • Aids in monthly results reporting and quarterly audits

Strategy

  • Works with key team members to identify client needs and address them with strategic recommendation
  • Analyzes and assess the integrated digital landscape of accounts and present to client to serve as a baseline to establish expectations
  • Develops integrated content calendars for assigned accounts
  • Attends and facilitates all status meetings, client meetings and client calls; deliver formal and informal presentations to clients as well as internal team members

Client Management

  • Serve as a point of contact for assigned clients; escalate, track and solve client issues by monitoring and managing all aspects of daily client performance
  • Guide client through milestones, provide direction and assistance with execution

Requirements

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years of search/SEO experience within an agency. Hands-on optimization experience is required.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Search and Social analytics tools, and ability to utilize tools to analyze performance, strategize and improve campaign performance
  • Understands the fundamentals and how to implement them – page titles, meta tags, headers, URL structure, link anchor text
  • Understands how paid search and SEO work together
  • Must have an open mind about campaigns and what “will work,” and possess a positive attitude
  • Must be able to work well individually or with team members when required

Digital Marketing Intern

Role

A Digital Marketing Intern will work and assist the Buzzsmith Team with research, coordination, and development of campaigns and projects for our clients as well as general project and office management. This internship is a multi-disciplinary internship that spans across SEO, Social Media, Analytics, and Digital Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Research digital and social media trends relevant to the industry and to our clients’ brands.
  • Research user behavior for audience profiling.
  • Research keywords for SEO.
  • Assist in monitoring campaigns by analyzing social data from various platforms.
  • Assist in monitoring community management of social networks
  • Research bloggers and influencers for social outreach
  • Assist in putting together reports in Word, Excel, and Keynote.
  • Assist executive levels with scheduling and coordinating meetings and occasional work related errands.
  • Assist in general office administration as needed.
  • Research New Business leads.
  • Assist with Project Management functions – pulling reports, schedule management and development.

Required Skills

  • Must live in the LA area or be able to commute to Koreatown
  • Must be able to work 2-3 times a week out of the Buzzsmith office.
  • Possesses a positive attitude and works well with teams.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint/Keynote.
  • Great communication, time management, project coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Strong writing skills. Must know how to adjust and write tone and content according to each audience
  • Strong and savvy in digital market research and tools.
  • Experience working with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and/or social media monitoring tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced digital marketing agency

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Keynote and Photoshop.
  • Proficient in both MAC and PC programs.
  • Prefer a candidate pursuing a degree in communications or digital marketing.
